BIO
Rachel Del Bono (b.2001) is a queer Toronto-based oil painter, interdisciplinary artist and recent graduate of OCADU Drawing and Painting program. With a heavy influence from graphic text imagery and traditional painting, Rachel explores themes of nostalgia , relationships and sacrifice. Through the appropriation of commercial packaging and product advertisement, she creates paintings that serve as a representation of personal relationships, both past and present as she explores the complexities and community found within shared lived experiences. Her work has been presented at Arts Etobicoke (2024), Northern Contemporary (2024), and Ignite Gallery (2023) Amongst Others.
